  • https://www.caa.gov.mv/rules-and-regulations/air-transport-circulars AT 14/2020-issue 02 .3 Passengers entering into Maldives under Tourist, Business and Special Visas and Ship crew arriving to sign-on are required to present COVID-19 Negative PCR Test Results, with the sample taken 72hrs prior to departure counting from the first port of embarkation en-route to the Maldives. The operating airline should verify whether passengers are in possession of such COVID- l9 Negative PCR Test results prior to boarding at the point of origin. The document containing the result should clearly show the name and address of the laboratory, the result and the date and time of sample taken. Possession of a PCR Negative result does not preclude the authorities subjecting such Passengers to screening or any other surveillance measures at points of entry. The following categories of travelers are exempted from pre-arrival PCR test requirements; (a) Citizens of Maldives (b) Holders of Employment Visas (c) Holders of Dependent Visas (d) Holders of Student Visas (e) Holders of Marriage Visas (f) Children below one Year of age (g) Flight crew arriving on General Declaration All arriving passengers should complete and submit the online Traveller Health Declaration form before arrival (but not exceeding 24 hours before arrival time). lf the passenger has the COVID-19 Negative PCR Test Result document, it must be attached while completing Traveller Health Declaration form. Passengers except Flight crew arriving on General Declaration and Children below one year of age travelling with families of Tourists, are required to undergo mandatory home quarantine (in their place of residency or work) for 14 days, conduct test for Covid- l9 and obtain a COVID- l9 Negative PCR Test Result before they are released from quarantine. Health Protection Agency's Guideline for Quarantine: - "Travel related Home Quarantine procedure for those travelling from abroad returning to Male' and travelling from Male' to other islands" is available from https://covid19.health.gov.mv/downloads/
